Originally based in NSW, Australia, I worked directly for many years with Vincent Sheppard, Fermob and Barlow Tyrie at Cotswold Furniture in my capacity as Sales and Marketing and eventually as Managing Director. So be assured, that although Strand Road Furniture is just a fledgling Irish company, I have extensive experience in procuring and supplying both the retail and commercial markets across Australia and into the Pacific region.

When specifying furniture for commercial use, there are several factors to consider that will make your project successful and long lasting. Not all furniture is created equal. We can help you identify the most appropriate products for your space. It’s particularly important for outdoor and high traffic zones to use appropriate materials.

Regardless of how edgy or cool a chair may look, if it’s not comfortable or if it’s impossible to get out of, people will remember! When it comes to seating comfort, Vincent Sheppard uses decades of design experience to produce furniture that is aesthetically pleasing and incredibly comfortable.

Materials and Colour
Use of colour is a game changer for commercial projects, something that our brand Fermob are truly masters of. Each year sees them redevelop their colour range, bringing out new colours and dropping those which have become less popular over time. Not only do they stay on top of colour trends, they set the pace.   
Many of our products combine several different textures and materials, such as a mix of teak wood and polypropolene rope, or aluminium frames with woven kraft paper fabric seats.

Sustainability
The companies we buy from pay close attention to sustainability and have complete control of the design, manufacturing and sourcing process. They take full responsibility for producing ethical products from natural or recyclable materials.

Maintenance
We can provide advice on product aftercare, and replacement parts as and when required.  Many products can be refurbished, cushions recovered and furniture repainted, giving them a new lease of life and making sure you get the utmost out of each and every piece.

If you have a project that requires bespoke branding, non standard paint colours or fabrics, please let us know. Subject to minimum order quantities we can arrange for specific features and made to measure designs.
